Somehow June has arrived already as time continues to fly by with the Five Communities History Project. We move now from Llangwm onto our next scheduled group in Penally.
However, before completing this section of work in Llangwm we have produced for them an authoritative hard-copy catalogue of the collections there, amounting to nearly 170 pages or almost 25,000 words – and this will only grow. The catalogue gives clear information on the collection at a glance thereby maximising access to groups across the county. The intention is to provide copies of each catalogue to each group in the project in order that they all end up with a physical library of what is available throughout the communities that have been involved.
We had hoped to complete an audit of the collection at Llangwm ensuring everything was in the correct boxes and locations and all the boxes clearly labelled with their contents, but ‘lockdown’ did get the better of us there for once.
In the meantime, onwards to Penally and the fabulous archival collections of their History Group members.
